Our office is equipped with updated technology including:

Digital Radiography: Digital films of the face and jaws have very high resolution while exposing patients to less radiation that tranditional radiographs.

Piezosurgery: This is the latest technology available to atraumatically remove bone for grafting and to access impacted teeth.

Platelet Rich Plasma(PRP): PRP is obtained by withdrawing a small amount of blood from the patient and extracting the platelets and growth factors. This technology permits Dr. Akin to harvest and produce a sufficient quantity of platelets to significantly increase healing time and reduce pain and swelling.

iCAT: Dr. Akin has access to the latest 3-D scanning capabilities offered in cone bean CT scanning. This specialized scan has the benefits of less radiation, 3-Dimensional Views of the face/jaws, and is much less costly than traditional medical CT Scanning.
