Welcome to the practice website of Dr. Richard T. Akin. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Akin manages a wide variety of concerns relating to the face, mouth and dentition. Dr. Akin practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise in dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal including bone grafting and gingival grafting. Dr. Akin also treats and diagnoses facial soft tissue injuries, fractures and head and neck pathology. Dr. Akin focuses, writes and teaches on immediate dental implant placement, dental implant temporaries, and minimally invasive dental implant surgery. He is an instructor at the Pankey Institute and gives numerous lectures on dental implant topics each year.
